PANIC ROOM have taken another major leap into 2012, with their shining presence on the music scene being confirmed and celebrated by the 30,000+ readers of 'Classic Rock Presents Prog' magazine!

Lead singer Anne-Marie Helder has been voted 'BEST FEMALE VOCALIST' for an incredible second year running, and the band were voted in the Top Ten for no less than FIVE categories!!!

In the latest edition of the music magazine (Issue 23, Feb 2012) the results of the annual 'Readers Poll' are announced, and it's great news all round for the Panics!

This year's poll - held by the magazine every year, to give its international readership a chance to vote for their most respected and loved artists - received the highest number of votes ever, and Panic Room were among the most highly-praised bands in the world.

Anne-Marie's 'BEST FEMALE VOCALIST' 2011 award means that she has won the very first 2 years in the Awards' history.

She is overwhelmed by this, saying:

"I really can't believe it, it's amazing! And incredibly humbling.

There's so much talent out there... I am just one voice.

I do sing with all my heart and soul, all my passion... but I think

that's the only way anyone should sing!

This award means a lot though, because it is voted for

by You, the fans and music-lovers out there...

It's not about the press or music industry types giving us their

approval; it's about the love and support of real people, being

moved by real music, in their real lives.

And that's why it's so cool!

All I've ever wanted to do with my music, and my voice, is really

 reach people. "

But Panic Room not only triumphed with the Vocalist award, they also rocked the Top-Ten in these following categories....

LIVE REVIEW : PANIC ROOM @ THE PEEL

Christmas Show, Dec 2011

____________________________________________

* PANIC ROOM's recent Christmas show at The Peel, Kingston-upon-Thames (London) is also given a shimmering review in this edition of  'CRPP' magazine!

We'll upload the full review to our 'Reviews' page in the near future, but here's a small snippet for you:

"The five-piece have spent the best part of the last four months on the road... Tonight is the penultimate show...

Helder...sparkles under the twinkling fairy lights that illuminate the stage, as she and her band launch into the sultry new 'Song For Tomorrow', tipped for inclusion on their third album...

Smooth yet dramatic, driven by Helder's luscious vocals, it's easy to see how she won the title 'Best Female Vocalist' from readers of this very magazine.

Each song showcases a different facet of Panic Room's edgy diveristy: from the uplifting clap-a-thon 'Freedom to Breathe' to the poignant 'The Fall'..."

* SARAH DIXON - who supported Panic Room at this show and throughout the tour - also gets a fantastic review in the same article, so well done Sarah! We knew they'd love you!

"Sarah Dixon gently eases the audience into the evening with her smoky vocals... Just 20 years old, the singer-songwriter from Manchester performs a down-to-earth acoustic set, complemented by stunning vocals that really belie her age.

She merges the soulfulness of Roberta Flack with the contemporary edge of Adele, and is even joined on stage by Panic Room's guitarist Paul Davies for the quirky swansong 'Jump'. Dixon has an incredible talent with the potential to go far, so watch this space..."

ARTICLE ON *ESOTERIC ANTENNA* featuring

INTERVIEW WITH ANNE-MARIE HELDER

...And if there's not enough Panic Room for you in the Awards pages and the Live Review section, you can also find the band featured in an article on 'Esoteric Antenna' on page 12 of the same magazine!

The feature, entitled 'Squackett Lives!, is devoted to the launch of the new frontline record label from Esoteric Recordings, 'Esoteric Antenna'.

Panic Room signed to the label this January (2012), and the article name-checks the band along with new label-mates Sanguine Hum, The Reasoning, and Squackett (Chris Squire & Steve Hackett), who are all slated to release albums this year on the label.

Anne-Marie was interviewed by the magazine recently, to ask her thoughts on both the Best Vocalist win and the new signing with Esoteric.

She is quoted at length in the article, where she talks proudly about the band's devoted hard work over the past few years, the positivity of signing the deal, and how working with the label will help to open up doors and provide support for the band, so their creativity can truly thrive.
